Role Summary
The Driver plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient execution of transportation and logistical tasks for our projects. This position requires a meticulous individual who can handle a variety of responsibilities, including material checks, vehicle inspections, safe driving practices, property damage recording, emergency box management, excess material management, project completion documentation, and maintaining job site cleanliness. The Driver ensures that all materials are accurately accounted for and safely transported, vehicles are in optimal condition, and job sites are left in pristine condition, contributing to the overall success and quality of our operations. This role demands a high level of attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to safety and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
Material Checks:
• Verify and check all materials before departure to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Manage and secure all materials during transit to prevent damage or loss.
Vehicle Inspection:
• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections before starting each journey.
• Ensure that the vehicle is in optimal condition, checking for any mechanical issues, and ensuring proper fluid levels.
Safe Driving Practices:
• Drive safely and adhere to all traffic laws and regulations.
• Prioritize the safety of passengers, materials, and other road users at all times.
Property Damage Recording:
• Inspect and record any existing property damage at job sites before commencing work.
• Report any new damages immediately to the relevant authorities.
Emergency Box Management:
• Maintain and ensure the emergency box is fully stocked with necessary supplies.
• Check the emergency box regularly and replenish items as needed.
Excess Material Management:
• Manage excess materials and ensure they are properly accounted for.
• Return unused materials to the appropriate storage locations or dispose of them following company protocols.
Project Completion Documentation:
• Take high-quality photographs of completed projects for documentation and reporting purposes.
• Ensure that all project documentation is accurate and submitted in a timely manner.
Job Site Requirements:
• Ensure the team leaves job sites clean and free of any materials or equipment.
• Conduct final checks to ensure nothing is left behind before departing the site.
• Fulfilling the site team needs such as water, food or transporting to the washrooms.

Qualifications
Education Minimum high school
Driving License - Manual 3
Experience 2+ years
Skills
Technical skills • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Proven experience as a driver, preferably in a similar role.
• Excellent knowledge of traffic laws and road safety regulations.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and reporting skills.
• Physically fit and able to handle the demands of the job.
• Familiarity with basic vehicle maintenance and inspection procedures.
• Basic photography skills for documenting completed projects.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
